<p>The main components of a test unit are a table (1) with four panels mounted behind it. The first panel (2) carries a soot pump comparator, the second panel (3) a carbon dioxide comparator, the third panel (4) a thermometer comparator and the fourth panel (5) a traction measuring device comparator. The soot pump comparator employs a wet gas meter which uses a special oil instead of water to inhibit corrosion. The carbon dioxide comparator uses a carbon dioxide mixt. with about 10% CO2 as a standard. The thermometer comparator has a heatable block with holes of suitable diameters for the commonest thermometers and the traction measuring device is based on an inclined tube manometer.</p> |
