<p>A shut-off valve located in a pipeline, has a valve sphere (2) with a cross hole that is equal to the internal pipe dia. An operating spindle (6) has an internal end with two parallel flats (11) which are engaged in an external slot on the valve sphere (12). A valve spindle location plate (1) has an internal thread (5) for the location of the treaded spindle section (13). A radial groove (14) in the valve spindle locates a plastic seal ring (15) of low friction coefficient. The outside ring dia. obtains the thread form as the spindle is screwed into its location plate.</p> |
