<p>The device comprises a display platform 1 whose longitudinal edges each have a succession of opposing housings 2. Two opposite housings 2 receive the ends of a profiled section 5, 14 in the form of a slide, in which are inserted in succession plates each carrying a stud 9, 17 with a cross section in the shape of a parallelogram. The articles to be displayed are arranged in rows, each one between two successive studs of the profiled section 5, 14, and each article may assume a display position which is tilted rearwards and a withdrawn position which is tilted forwards. By modifying the spacing between the profiled sections 5, 14 and the arrangement of the studs along one such profiled section, it is possible, as desired, to alternate, on the platform 1, rows of articles of different formats and thus of different types.
