<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the capacity of a power supply part by starting successively each drive by staggering the starting timing of plural drives by prescribed time at the time of starting a disk drive device. CONSTITUTION:At the time of turning on power supply, floppy disk drive devices (FDD) 9A, 9B are started successively by staggering the starting timing by the prescribed time Tn. The time is made the time until the disk drive motor of the FDD reaches normal number of revolution after it is turned on, namely, the time of a period in which the driving current of the disk drive motor is large. Since the drives are started successively by staggering the starting timing in this way, the driving current to flow at the time of the start as whole two drives is not different so much from a case that the FDD is of one drive, and the current capacity of the power supply part of the device can be reduced.</p> |
