{PG,1 This invention relates to a new and distinct variety of New Guinea Impatiens plant known by the cultivar name Chippewa, and discovered by me in commercial greenhouses in Fremont, Calif. Chippewa is closest in characteristics to Creek, but has a more upright growth habit; much more floriferous than Creek; both flowers and foliage are lighter than Creek; Chippewa is variegated, depending on light intensity and age of plant; and the candy striping shows on the light pink flowers.
