The container is produced by the blow-moulding method. In order to obtain the necessary rigidity against impermissible bulging due to the static pressure of the liquid, the large side walls (2) of the overall approximately cuboid container are provided with recesses (7) whose bottoms (7a) are welded to one another. The recesses (7) have approximately the shape of a four-sided truncated pyramid. The edges (11a to 11d) of this truncated pyramid are arranged such that, seen in the side view, the imaginary continuations (11a to 11d) intersect the corners of the container or pass by near to said corners (intersections 15, 16, 20, 21). Due to this special shape of the recesses (7), a particularly good rigidity is obtained at the points at which the static pressure of the liquid is greatest. <IMAGE> |
