<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a membrane for separating a water-alcohol mixed liq. by preparing dope contg. 9-12wt.% chitosan having 80,000-150,000mol wt. and 80-95% degree of deacetylation and producing a membrane with the dope by a wet process. CONSTITUTION:Chitin is treated with an acid, etc., to obtain chitosan having 80,000-150,000mol wt. and the degree of deacetylation of the chitosan is regulated to 80-95% with a concd. alkali. In case of a flat membrane, the chitosan is dissolved in 0.6-1N aq. acetic acid soln. to 9-10% concn. and the resulting dope is filtered, degassed and casted on a glass plate with an applicator. The glass plate with the cast dope is immersed in a solidifying bath and a membrane is produced by a wet process. The produced membrane is washed plural times and dried at room temp. to obtain a chitosan membrane. This membrane has very high separating ability as a membrane for separating a water-alcohol mixed liq.</p> |
