1411215 Valves ARGUS GESELLSCHAFT mbH 1 Aug 1974 [22 Sept 1973] 33948/74 Heading F2V [Also in Division B3] A valve comprises a generally spherical casing 10 of welded construction, two tubular members 21, 22, each welded to the casing to extend along an axis 27 for connecting into a pipe-line, and flow control means 25 supported in the casing, the latter comprising two shells 11, 12 which abut against one another in a plane 14 obliquely intersecting axis 27, the two shells being connected by a peripheral uninterrupted weld seam 13 which neither intersects nor touches any other weld seam of the casing. The valve is a globe valve. Control element 25 is aligned with branches 21, 22, is journalled in the casing by stub shafts 28, 29, and is sealed at 30 in the vicinity of weld seams 23, 24. |
