The engine has two rotors mounted on vertical axes within a common casing. Each rotor has an outer hemispherical tube from which a large number of small conduits run at a gentle curve to the centre of the rotor. A tube along a diameter of the rotor leads from the centre out to the peripheral tube. A liquid of high density such as mercury circulates in each rotor. It is thrown out rapidly to the periphery and returns slowly through the small tubes. This variation in velocity produces an imbalance which results in an net turning force on the wheels.
