The squeezable container consists of a tube body (12) made of deformable material with a layer of plastic and of a two-part top (16, 18). The first top member (16) has a delivery nozzle (22) and a radially arranged apron (28) and is inserted into the one end of the tube body. The second top member (18) is a ring which engages with a rib (46) in a groove (32) in the first top part (16). One end of the tube body is heated and folded over inwards so that it covers the groove, and the ring is then fitted on in order to clamp the material of the tube body between the rib of the ring and the groove of the first top member. Opposite walls (36, 44) of the rib (46) and of the groove (32) are dimensioned such that the layer of plastic can flow and fill hollow spaces between the top members in order to produce an airtight connection between the top and the body. The tube body preferably consists of a laminated film which has an impenetrable layer made of a metal foil and an inner layer made of an epoxy resin. <IMAGE> |
