<p>The combined defibrillator and electrocardiograph includes an inductor, a pair of electrodes and a direct current source arranged to charge a capacitor to a given energy level. The capacitor, inductor and electrodes can be connected in series by a switch so that the capacitor is discharged through a patient by way of the electrodes. The electrocardiograph comprises a display device which can be connected to the electrodes by a switch. Both electrodes are mounted on respective housing to be placed in contact with the patient. The charging circuit, inductor, capacitor, display device and any other components used in the defibrillator are contained or indirectly mounted on the housings so that the appts. is readily portable.</p> |
