Grinding ring for slide valves - has ring rotatable on disc clamped to inner wall of valve seat

The grinding device is for use in sealing slide valves. A grinding ring can rotate on a disc, with clamps to secure the disc on the inner wall of the valve. A releasable clamp is arranged between the disc and grinding ring for pressing the ring against the valve seat, the clamp operating by bolts around the disc periphery. The ends of the bolts facing the grinding ring each have a rotatable ball. The balls are pref. spring biassed and the clamps may be locking hooks distributed around the periphery. At least one hook is eccentrically mounted and has a manually operated handle. The grinding ring may be carried on bearings at the clamp elements.
