The hair-protector both contains and protects long head-hair and is for use in factories in the interests of personal safety and global hygiene. The protector gathers the hair, prevents the contamination of the surrounding environment by the hair, prevents contamination or entangling of the hair itself, and also does not promote perspiration. The protector may be of an easily maintainable fine mesh. It covers the hair entirely, and may be fastened by an adhesive strip. The hearing of the wearer is, thus, not impaired and the fastener does not grip the skin of the wearer.
