A training appts. for skiers consists of two pairs of parallel rails(1a, 1b) joined together at each end by tubular cross members(4, 5). The rails(1a, 1b) support small sliding platforms(2, 3) which are operated by the user's feet. A vertical support(6) is attached to the front cross member(4) and is mounted on a cross bar(60). An upper cross bar(6c) attached to the vertical column has a hand grip at each end. The vertical column(6) is pivoted on the front cross member(4) and clamped by screw(9). It is also supported by a telescopic stay which is clamped with a screw(8). The vertical column can be folded down onto the rails(1a, 1b) by releasing the clamping screws(8, 9).
