The armature carries a winding supplying the ignition system of a motor vehicle IC engine, a storage battery charging winding with a controller coupled to it, and a generator terminal for the vehicle lighting. The charging winding (2c) and the ignition winding (2b) are mounted on the generator (G) stator, magnetically parallel with each other. An additional lighting winding (2a') for vehicle lighting is provided on the stator, shifted by 180 deg. and in a symmetrical position with respect to the above windings (2b, 2c).
