The vacuum flask includes a protective cover with an inner wall (2) which has a covering (8) with an absorbtion coefficient of at least 0.8 for short wave solar rays. The protective cover (5) is transparent, or may incorporate a panel opening up on at least a part of its surface with the exterior wall being transparent. The flask has an absorbent cladding provided with hollows and protrusions on the side facing the space between its walls in order to increase the area of this surface. The protective cover (5) is provided, on its inner facing, with a reflective cladding (10) covering approximately half of its circumference, the covering being marked, in order to permit visual recognition of the placing of the reflective cladding.
