The A-D converter has a comparator and an up-down counter. Analogue signals are applied through switches (12) to a first charge store (13), whose outputs can be connected to the comparator (14). The second comparator input (14) is connected to a further charge store (15) charged by a multiplier stage (18) in accordance with the output of the counter (16) connected to the comparator (14) output. The counter is connected to a store (22) via an address coder (21) which is controlled according to the number of signals to be converted. Readout devices (23, 24) are connected to the latter store (22).
