Shut-off valve has a shutting component which is operated via a setting mechanism and pref. covered with a membrane; the setting mechanism is fastened to the shutting component by means of a bolt. That end of the setting mechanism facing the shutting component is in the form of a hook and partly curves about the bolt. A metal or plastics body fits into a recess at the upper side of the shutting component. This body is made of low-friction material, e.g. a polyamide.
