The valve tapping device for pipe conduits has a boring pipe box and a valve housing with connections and outlets. In the valve connection are a thrust screw and below this a spindle nut bearing a spindle with drilling head and valve seat. An unlockable spindle guide box(24) is incorporated with a lock wedge(28) which is axially displaceable and held on the guide box by a clamp screw(33). The spindle guide box(24) has an axial groove(25) which only cuts the box in a small area on its inner diameter, and whose axial limit is formed by an incline(26). This incline (26) is wider open to the spindle box(24) on the outer diameter than on the inner.
