The fog and rain probe of the vehicle light control system is a l.v. ceramic condenser which is filed up to the conducting layer with the dielectric and through the dampness comes to a resistance which is proportional to that dampness. The resistance together with a further resistance controls an amplifier connected with a yellow light diode. The thyristor acts as a switch and can activate the light switch as indicated by the green light diode. The system thereby automatically switches on the vehicle lights in poor lighting conditions.
