What is described is an ashtray, especially for motor vehicles, consisting of a housing (1) fastenable in a wall recess and having an ashtray drawer (3) which is mounted movably in said housing and which can be moved out of a position of non-use into a position of use after the release of a lock (11) by means of the force of an opening spring (6), the lock (11) being releasable by pressing the ashtray drawer (3) in slightly counter to the force of the opening spring (6) and the ashtray drawer (3) then being movable into the position of use by the opening spring (6) in a direction opposite to the pressing-in. To prevent an unintentional opening of the ashtray drawer (3), according to the invention at least one additional spring (7) assisting the opening spring (6) and having an excursion limited in relation to the opening spring (6) is provided. <IMAGE> |
