The helmet is provided with a built-in microphone (10) which is removable. It is situated in an opening (8; 11) of the support/holder (6; 2) and is set into position by friction. The invention allows two-way radio conversation. The microphone is completely covered on the inside by the inner lining of the protective helmet. The surfaces adjoining the 2 way microphone in the holder (7, 2) are of an elasticed fabric, as is the holder itself. It could be either rubber or synthetic. The holder (7) clicks into the opening provided (5) on the helmet (1).
