Swimming pool floatable cover - prepd. from closed cell foamed plastics material with additional structure providing large number of air pockets

Floatable cover is made from foamed plastics material having closed cells, the cover including further a large number of air chambers. Pref. the cover is made from a lower foamed plastics layer provided on its upper face with an array of projections which when contacted by the underside of an upper layer sealed to the layer form the air chamber. Alternatively, the upper and lower layers may be planar and laminated to an interposed honeycomb structure. The foamed plastics material is esp. polyethylene. Used for covering swimming pools.
