<p>The installation for generating power from wave motion, particularly in the sea, comprises a number of chambers (10) with open bottom, immersed in the water, such that the water level in the chambers rises and falls. The chambers are combined into one unit, and each contain a piston (11) which follows the rise and fall of the water. The pistons may actuate positive displacement rods (15) in cylinders (13, 14). The cylinders may have inlet and outlet valves (18, 19) connected to common inlet and outlet lines (16, 17). The outlets may be connected to a common pressure vessel. The inlet and outlet lines may form a closed circuit containing a turbine.</p> |
