Cutting and transportation process for timber pieces - uses two opposite feed channels, in timber cutter with continuous operation

The process is for use with a bladed shaft timber cutter. The timer sections(1) are moved in direction of feed(C) by the length(B) of a timber package(2) within a timber feed channel(3), where it is compressed on all sides. It is then compressed on two sides in a container(10a, b) and out to the required length. The timber package(2) thus formed, together with the residual pieces, is moved discontinuously, still under pressure, to a conveyor, which continuously moves it to a chain duct(25) and to a blade shaft(26). This ensures that newly moved timber comes into fibre-parallel contact with the timber still in the conveyor. When the first container(10a) moves its timber into the conveyor, the second container(10b) is already being loaded.
