PURPOSE:To make it possible to recover data at a high speed at the time of an on-line operation when a fault occurs in data by controlling a writing by providing an area resigration means for copying the data to be recovered. CONSTITUTION:On the side of a master recording device (master disk) 30 of a disk control device 20, an area lock function is provided, and when the reading for a copying is performed the disk device 20 is commanded to carry out the lock of a copy area 31 (lock area) by a computer 10. An area registration means 21 registers this area 31. When a writing means 11 is to be write data for the area 31 registered by the area registration means 21, a writing control means 22 permits the writing for the side of the master disk 30, retains this for the writing to the side of a slave recording device (slave disk) 40 and permits the writing of data to the side of the slave disk 40 by the writing means 11 after the copying by a copying means 12 is terminated. |
