Bottle filling machine valve - has pneumatic probe alongside and integral with filling pipe and controlling filling valve

The valve is for a machine filling bottles with a small-diameter neck and having mechanical and pneumatic sections supplied with air from two sources at different pressures. The mechanical section has a centring device for the bottle neck pressed vertically towards the bottles and integral with a pneumatic probe actuating a valve in the pneumatic system. The probe is situated alongside and integral with a small pipe(1) through which the filling liquid flows, the pipe being connected to a valve(4) controlled by a pneumatic ram(5). When probe(3) and pipe are inserted in the bottle neck the valve opens and liquid flows in until the desired level is reached. The probe then causes the ram to shut the valve again.
