The device contains at least two pairs of conductors (which are designed in the form of current-carrying bars), one pair (6, 6') of which is laid from the rotor winding of the synchronous machine to the excitation machine, and the bars of this pair are bent approximately at right angles and form contact surfaces (8, 8') in plate form, while the other pair (7, 7') is laid in the direction of the rotor of the synchronous machine. Furthermore, the device contains two live wedges (which touch the bent bars) as well as two flexible rails (11, 11'), which connect the wedges (10, 10') to the other pair of bars (7, 7'), and, finally, two insulating material intermediate layers (13, 13'). The respective live wedge (10, 10') is supported on each insulating material intermediate layer by that side which is connected to the respective flexible rail (11, 11'). The device makes possible reliable electrical contact between the conductors of the rotors of the two machines, using centrifugal forces, which ensure the required contact pressure. <IMAGE>
