<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a convenient pipe fitting system by communicating by using an element combined in a body of a pipe fitting or installed on the body and an electromagnetic signal, and transmitting information needed for the element. CONSTITUTION: The fitting 10 has terminals 12, 13 coupled to a heating wire 14. An information containing element 11 is snap engaged within a recess 9 of the body, and held at a predetermined position by lugs 9a, 9b. A fusion control unit 20 for supplying power via a lead 21 is installed, and the unit 20 has a transmitter receiver for communicating with the element 11. An antenna 22 oscillates an RF signal, and receives a transmission signal from the element 11. A decoder 27 in the unit 20 takes out information regarding necessary time and current, sends the information to a fusion current control timer unit 28 and supplies power from a power source 29 to the unit.</p> |
