Load-bearing structure

Load-bearing ceilings, floors, beams and outer walls are assembled from prefabricated box-shaped structural elements (1). The structural elements (1) are held together to form a prestressed slab by means of non-embedded tension elements (5), such as prestressed bars or cables. The elements (1) may be provided with a filling consisting of rock wool or the like, which gives them a relatively low weight. The low relative density permits the structural elements to be relatively thick, which gives the assembly, as a result of the large static height, a high load-bearing capacity.
