Flat armature designed for linear or rotary movement, for motors or pick-up magnets

The flat armature has a support which is made of plastic or ceramic and on which a coil system is arranged. The support contains a magnetically soft substance in a uniformly distributed amount of from 2 to 50 per cent by weight, preferably from 10 to 18 per cent by weight. Owing to the ferromagnetic substance, the performance of the motor or pick-up magnet is increased without increasing the dimensions. The uniform distribution of the substance precludes the formation of eddy currents. Motors or pick-up magnets provided with a flat armature of this type are particularly suitable as quick-acting actuation elements in control systems.
