<p>PURPOSE:To protect a magnetic tape from a damage by a method wherein the tape is stopped and wound on a pay-off reel or a take-up reel if a trouble is detected while the tape is traveling. CONSTITUTION:If the speed decline of a drum motor 253 is detected by a revolution sensor 255, it is judged that a magnetic tape adheres to a rotary head drum and the motor 253 is stopped. Then a capstan motor 136 is also stopped and, further, a pinch roller is made to retreat from a capstan to release the pressing. If an eject signal is given by the switching signal 260 of an operation button, a driving motor 81 is operated and a slide chassis 15 is made to retreat to release the loading of the tape. Then a pay-off side turntable is turned to wind the drawn-out tape. Further, the rotary head drum is turned with a low speed in the direction opposite to the direction of reproducing by the motor 253. With this constitution, as tape is wound on the pay-off reel while the adhering tape is peeled off, the tape can be rewound without applying a burden to the tape.</p> |
