The hydraulic disk brake has an additional mechanical parking brake. A mechanical brake thrust device is arranged between two piston-cylinder units of the hydraulic brake part arranged on both sides of the brake disk. This device has a lever (7, 8) assigned to each side of the brake disk respectively, which lever is mounted so that it can swivel about a lever shaft (9 and 10). The lever shafts (9, 10) arranged on both sides of the brake disk are rotated by the associated lever (7, 8) and each by way of a cam surface actuate assigned friction pad carriers with the friction pads. The levers (7, 8) are actuated by a freely moveable lever plate (31), on which a connecting rod (37) acts. The two levers (7, 8) are each connected to the lever plate (31) by a pin (32, 33), which engages in a slot (45, 46) in the lever plate (31) open to the circumference of the lever plate (31). The open slots make it easier to change the brake friction pads. <IMAGE>
