A mobile stand for supporting a roll of web material comprises a support frame 11 which accommodates a main shaft 27 for a roll 28 of web material between two parallel struts 24 and 25, and a spindle 10 mounted on the frame 11 and disposed parallel to and adjacent the shaft 27 on the frame at a distance such that the main shaft 27 can accommodate a new roll 28 of web material while the spindle can accommodate a partially used roll 8 of web material. Web can then be led from the partially used roll 8 over the new roll 28 to frictionally engage therewith during feed and tear-off. <IMAGE> |
