<p>PURPOSE:To provide an optical sensor which measures magnetic field, voltage and electric field intensities with high precision by utilizing Faraday effect and Pockels effect. CONSTITUTION:The first and second photo-detection elements 16a and 16b which receive P and S polarized light from a light-detecting element 14 and convert it into electric signals V1 and V2 according to light intensity, the first calculation circuit 17a which, based on the electric signals V1 and V2, obtains output V11 from an equation V11=(V1-DC1)/DC1 (DC1 is d.c. component of electric signal V1), the second calculation circuit 17b which, based on the electric signal V2, obtains output V2 from an equation V22=(V2-DC2)/DC2(DC2 is d.c. component of electric signal V2), the third calculation circuit 17c which, based on the both outputs V11 and V22, obtains output V3 equation V3=AV11+BV22 (A and B are preset constant), are provided, and magnetic field, voltage and electric field intensities are obtained from the output V3.</p> |
