<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the cost at the time of packaging and handling by a method wherein the bar codes of a single color in contrast with the color of contents are printed on a place, of the side face of a transparent container, through which a perfectly reflected light from the contents is passed. CONSTITUTION:In the outer surface of a synthetic resin-made transparent container, i.e., a case 1, for storing eggs 5, the bar codes 4 of a single black color in contrast with the color of an egg 5 are printed by ink jet on a place 3 through which a perfectly reflected light from the egg 5 can be passed. Due to such, an ink-jet printing, even if the container has ribs or curved surfaces, the straight bar codes 4 can be easily printed thereon or, even if the container is of a film-like, soft material, there is no need for concern about the pressure applied to the container upon printing. The printing is also possible during the container forming process, e.g. in the course of the cooling. Therefore, even in the case of a film-like container extremely weak in strength, the bar codes can be accurately printed thereon and, upon reading, an erroneous recognition of the data can be prevented.</p> |
