PURPOSE: To provide an improved shirred casing article held in outer wrapper. CONSTITUTION: This shirred fibrous casing article is composed of two different mutually adjacent shirred casing sections 28A and 28B at least having a moisture content in about 20 to 30% by the total weight of casing, joint part binding the mutually adjacent terminal parts of respective casing sections 28A and 28B, holding member engaged in press contact with an outer surface while surrounding one part of the outer surface of stick including one part of both ends so as not to close the opening edge of inner hole at one end of stick at least, window provided on the holding position while being located at the joint part so as to expose one part of the outer surface of shirred stick, and flag 58 provided at the joint part and protruded through the window. |
