The fibre optic cable connector consists of two half connection in which are fixed the ends of the fibre optic cables. The external contour of the cables is hexagonal. The ends (12) of the cables are fixed inside ferrules. Each ferrule consists of a tubular rear joint (16) on which are maintained two half shells. The shape of the half shells is such that once assembled they form an interior hexagonal section channel. The half shells have male and female parts which interlock with each other.
