<p>The binder is used to hold papers and documents together in sheaves, and permit these to be fitted into a file holder. Each binder is in the form of a plastic or metal flexible strip (10), coloured for identification purposes, if required. At each end (13) is a tongue (11), pressed out of the strip body and long enough to pass through holes punched in the papers by a perforator; the tongues are bent over to secure the papers. The holes (12) resulting from pressing out the tongues are used to fit the sheaf of papers over the wires of the file holder.</p> |
