The anti-theft device cuts off the battery of a vehicle from its electrical system. It has a controlled solid-state semi-conductor switch connected between the battery and the unit to be put out of action, or so connected as to short-circuit this unit. Devices connected to the control electrode of the solid-state switch activate it by means of an impulse, while others cut it out by briefly short-circuiting it. The latter can comprise a short-circuit connection between the two main switch electrodes and including a transitory contact, and there can also be a transitory contact activating the switch.
|
