<p>The vehicle door sealing strip (7) is carried by a trim strip (6). The door frame is of an 'H' section (3) with the lower channel (3b) housing the edge of a sliding window pane (4). The strip (6) fits externally over the outer leg (3b) of the 'H'. The head of the clip is contoured (6a, 6b) to enclose a peninsular projection (7a) from the base of the seal (7). In section the strip (6) may have a laminar straight body with curved returns at each end. The lower return (6c) is 'S' shaped of two segments each subtending approximately 90 deg. of arc, and the upper return (6a, 6b) is similar with the segments subtending approximately 170 deg. and 270 deg. of arc respectively. The seal (7) may be triangular with the apex contacting the edge (1) of the aperture, and the opposite base reciprocating (7a, 7b) the form of the upper (6a, 6b) return.</p> |
