<p>Bats, sticks and clubs for use in sporting activities for striking a ball are moulded in one piece from plastics, esp. polypropylene. The moulded sticks can be given the desired characteristics and are more consistent in their performance than are similar articles made of wood. Typically, a hockey stick is produced by injection moulding in one piece, and comprises a handle, a lower shaft section and a club section. A groove formed between reinforcing ribs is provided in the rear face of the club, and extends into the shaft, giving the stick the necessary balance.</p> |
