The windshield (2) for motorcycle safety helmets (2) consists of a transparent sheet of plastics material. One face is covered by a very thin layer of metal so that the windscreen also acts as a light filter and as a reflector for other road users. The covering metal is either non-corrodable or slightly corrodable. The covering metal can be evenly distributed over the whole surface or the thickness can diminish towards the bottom of the screen.
