<p>The system of rollers and tracks is for use on sliding panels (5) forming the walls of container vehicles. The panels (5) form a continuous closed wall when in the immobilised position and are moved individually onto a offset position for sliding. Each panel is, thus, opened by sliding into a position overlapping its neighbour for access to the container at any point in its length. A single rail (1) is at the head and the foot of the wall, parallel to the wall (5), and in alignment with the immobilised panels. The top rail (1) may be of an isosceles trapezoidal section, and the lower rail of channel section. A roller (4) at each corner of each panel (5) can be mounted on cantilever arms (6) in an internally offset position. Openings (2) in the wall of the track (1) may straddle inter panel pillars (8), and permit the roller (4) to retract onto a length of internally offset track for immobilisation.</p> |
