<p>The illumination source is for document copiers. Illumination is obtained from long life tubes generating very little heat enabling the source to be positioned close to the document. The copier may be of the vertical or horizontal type, the illumination source permitting a marked reduction in the overall volume. The copier objective (2) is positioned at one end of a light enclosure having non-reflecting walls (22). The enclosure rests on the illumination source which consists of a zig-zag of lighting tubes. The document bed (23) lies immediately beneath these and has a hinged cover (26).</p> |
