The process for producing a seamless, thin-walled, smooth, transparent section made from plastics material comprises pressing the material which has been brought into a plastic state by heating through a die (mould) and using a vacuum to suck the material onto the outside of an angled core and then, in order to cure the angled section, guiding it over a cooling device, all this in such a manner that each corner transition also remains smooth and transparent. The device comprises feed means for the plastics material, a heating member, a die, the outlet opening of which comprises an angular core which is provided, on the periphery, with means for sucking the mass, which is in the plastic state, around the core on all sides and uniformly and which comprises a cooling device at the end in order to cure the smooth, transparent section. |
