<p>The cellular arrangement is used in sandwich or laminated plates. The external skin is laminated on both sides of the cellular core. External skins can be applied to this core without danger of deformation. Individual cell elements can be joined to build up the required cellular core structure. The cell elements can be made continuously from sheet material. Each cell has a triangular cross-section, with three flat sides (26, 28, 34). A plate (24) which projects as a rib from one apex of the triangle, is continued outwards, parallel to the base. This apex incorporates a step for projecting edge of the adjacent cell, so that adjacent cells can be interlocked.</p> |
