<p>The rear brake light circuit of the vehicle is coupled to a simple oscillator which drives an LED indicator. When the brake light is passing current it saturates the oscillator and inhibits any oscillation which would operate the LED. One oscillator circuit is provided for each brake light. Any failure in the light, or its fuse, enables the oscillator to swing and provide a bias across its inputs. The fluctuating LED emission is clearly seen by the driver every time he brakes.</p> |
