<p>The flexible dam is used to block gaps in dyke walls during building operations, and prevents entry of water from adjacent sea. It covers long spans of lengths of several hundred metres of dyke wall against, for example, flood waters. The hose shaped hollow element(10) is secured by an anchoring arrangement. Water can be used as a filling. The envelope is made of two continuous flexible material strips(12, 13), one narrower than the other one. A single strip can be used whose longitudinal edges are connected. Openings are made in the connection for attaching anchors.</p> |
