Mould for casting polyurethane edging strip on weatherproof plates - has clamping plate and dish suction pulled against blank

A plate esp. a weatherpoorf plate is formed from a chipboard blank on to which a seamless edging strip of synthetic polyurethane is cast. The height of the edging strip is a little greater than the thickness of the blank plate, below which it projects some distance. A lip on the edging strip projects inwards and lies against the underside of the plate. The upper surface of the edging strip is in line with the top surface of the plate and its outside edge is rounded off. In the zone beneath the plate, the inside face of the strip runs outwards and downward. The edging stri is produced from uper/lower forming plates between which the plate blank is placed. The three plates then delimit a cavity corresponding to the shape of the edging strip. The faces of the forming plates in contact with the blank have annular grooves which can be evacuated, and on each side of which sealing strips are fitted. The plate can be mfd. cheaply in any form or size.
